We are a small beach cafe on the South West Coast Path at Riviere Towans in Hayle; part of the fantastic St. Ives Bay with panoramic views to Lelant, Carbis Bay and St. Ives. We’ve been secretly tucked into the cliffs for over a century, but now the secret’s out, and we think you’ll agree that once you’ve tracked us down, we have one of the finest coastal views in Cornwall.
On less than sunny days, we are the perfect spot for wave or storm watching, hot chocolate in hand. Dogs and wet wellies are more than welcome! We are the perfect stop off to refuel if you are walking the south west coast path, being approximately midway between Portreath and St Ives.
Our cafe serves freshly ground coffee, breakfasts, light lunches, fresh cream teas and beach snacks throughout the day, as well as a wide choice of delicious Cornish ice-cream. We endeavour to source our ingredients locally, both to reduce food miles and to take advantage of the amazing produce Cornwall has to offer. Fresh and simple; letting the view do the talking.
We also stock a wide selection of beach goods ranging from windbreaks, buckets, spades and fishing nets, through to wetsuits and bodyboards.
